Guest guest
Tammy, try drinking more water. I am a diabetic, and an avid Lo- carber, so I use those strips every day. In the first 3 mos after weight loss they stayed purple, they started to lighted up when I could consume more water. Now, if their real dark, it's usually because I didn't get my water in, or just got done exercising. The water will really help. I've also heard about the brain developement with ketones, and there is alot of debate over it. Dr. Atkins disagrees, but many others don't. With my first pregnancy, I weighed 320, and when I delivered I was 270. I stayed in the purple alot, and my baby was fine. I had severe nausea the whole time. Just try to get more water in and you should be fine. Good luck! > Hi I am 5 months post op and 12 weeks pregnant, I went for my first > ob visit last week and my ketones were very high.
