I AM MARRIED LIVE WITH AND CARE FOR MY UNCLE WHO HAS BRAIN DAMAGE DUE TO LACK OF OXYGEN WHILE HAVING A HEART ATTACK. HERE WE ARE FAMIY AND FRIENDS THAT CARE. YOU CAN NOT HAVE AN EFFECTIVE SUPPORT GROUP UNLESS YOU SUPPORT THE WHOLE PERSON AND CARE ABOUT EACH OTHER AND THAT IS WHAT WE DO HERE. WE LAUGH, CRY, AND PRAY TOGETHER TO WHOEVER OUR HIGHER POWER IS. WE LOVE EVERYONE SOMETIMES W MAY DISAGREE BUT THAT IS OK TOO CAUSE WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT. WE WOULD NOT HAVE THINGS ANY OTHER WAY. I AM ALSO BI-POLAR SO KNOW WHAT YOU GO THRU AT TIMES. I LOVE THE HIGHS BUT HATE THE LOWS. JUST ONE MORE THING TO DEAL WITH. MY SHRINK KEEPS ME SLIGHTLY DEPRESSED BECAUSE WE HAVE FOUND OUT I CAN FUNCTION BETTER THAT WAY AND DON'T HAVE THE HIGHS AND LOWS AS MUCH. WHEN I GET MANIC I AM ON A ROLL FOR 45-90 DAYS THEN I CRASH BIG TIME. CAUSE I WILL HAVE BEEN UP WITHOUT ANY SLEEP FOR ALL THAT TIME CAN'T SIT STILL LONG ENOUGH TO EAT EVEN THEN I GO TO BED TOO OUT OF IT TO RAISE MY HEAD UP AND STAY THERE AT LEAST A MONTH. SO I GLADLY TAKE SOME DEPRESSION RATHER THAN GO THRU ALL THAT CRAP. I HAVE SEVERAL OTHER MEDICAL PROBLEMS TO GO ALONG WITH THESE DDS ALSO WELCOME AND KNOW YOU HAVE CAME TO THE RIGHT PLACE FOR TOTAL SUPPORT. I TOO BELONG TO OTHER LISTS, BUT IT IS NOT ALWAYS APPROPRIATE TO TALK ABOUT PERSONAL OR EMOTIONAL UPHEAVALS IN ONES LIFE ON THESE LISTS. NOT EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS AND MISUNDERSTANDINGS OCCURR ALL TOO OFTEN, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE MOOD SWINGS SET IN. IT IS NICE TO KNOW THAT EVERYONE HERE SUFFERS FROM THE SAME DISORDERS. THIS WAY, I DO NOT HAVE TO FEEL GUILTY ANYMORE WHEN I THINK THAT MY ENTIRE WORLD JUST FELL APART AND I NEED TO VENT. BTW, MY VISION HAS ALSO DETERIORATED DRASTICALY THIS PAST YEAR.
