Guest guest
Have a quick question for the group ............ Rick has been experiencing some " hiccup spasms " and I just wondered if any of you had any ideas for relief. I know I've read a few posts about some of you having this. It's not the " regularly spaced hiccups " that are bothering him, ...... it's these spasms of " rapid hiccups " that tend to take his breath away. If he happens to be exhaling when they hit, it can really make him gasp for air when it stops. This started when he started on the Decadron, but I'm not sure if that caused it or if it's the brain tumor disrupting his breathing center in the brain. I just know it hurts me to watch him struggle with that. It always happens when he tries to eat ...... and then randomly throughout the day. Still, on a scale of what he could be experiencing ........ this is a very mild problem. I read the stories of the horrible things many of you have had to watch your loved ones go through (or gone through yourself) and I thank God for the fact we've had it so good. Best Wishes to All ..... and special hugs to a, Donna S.
