Guest guest
Hi LaVerna, sorry to hear Rebekah is having a rough time again, but at least they are not what you are recognising as seizures, so that's got to be good news Benzos can store in all tissues for a long time and can come out in fits and spurts, especially from fat and muscle, so it is maybe possible, but v hard to know for sure of course. A lot of discussion on the benzo yahoo list about this a while (about 6 mths) ago, will send a post through on here shortly that I saved from part of the discussion. Has she lost any weight or anything lately? I remember the TRANX counsellor here telling me to try and discourage any sort of weight/muscle loss or increased activity during a withdrawal, and I think that is part of the reason had such a rough go in hospital - he lost 2-3 kilos during this admission, and every time he was producing highish ketones I was on edge - knowing the mix of the 2 would probably spell nasties for him. Will send that benzo post through in a sec, ----- Original Message ----- > , > Rebekah has been having what looks like 'movement disorder' during the night.....is it possible this is still withdrawl from the frizium? I'm asking you this because I know you have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to these meds. It's been 7 months since we stopped this med and went through the withdrawl nightmare.....you have mentioned that the med is sometimes stored in the muscle tissues...could this be what is happening??? The last three nights she has been waking up flailing her arms and legs and is terribly frustrated not being able to get a good sleep. I don't think these are seizures. Her ketones are normal.....8 during the day and between 8-16 at night. I did drop her ratio from 3.3-1 to 3.1 again last week to help resolve her leg cramps but the ketones have been good. Her leg cramps seem to have disappeared for now but now we have this other problem. Could they be related? Thanks ...appreciate any feedback since I know we won't get any from her neurologist.....who is still seeing the drugs as the best approach... > LaVerna
Guest guest
LaVerna, Decided to send that benzo post I mentioned below thru to your private email - will do it in a sec - reason being a) it is v long, (it is part of a digest post, with quite a few diff preceeding posts included) and has comments/opinions on it that I probably shouldn't put out on another public webring - like nothing nasty in it or anything, but a lot of the members of that yahoo benzo group are obviously recovering from benzo addictions, and although they post in part to help others glean advice on withdrawals, it is also a support forum for them, and therefore a bit personal to put out on here mebbe. Sending it thru now, ----- Original Message ----- > A lot of discussion on the benzo yahoo list about this a while (about 6 > mths) ago, will send a post through on here shortly that I saved from part > of the discussion. Guest guest
Laverna, Could the leg cramps be caused by insufficient vitamins and/or minerals? Have you adjusted the calories?
