Guest guest
Meghan, I know many are not overly fond of allergy testing, but if you are still experiencing hives and itchy skin, I would recommend an IgE skin test to determine which foods are the culprits and pull all of them from his diet immediately. I don't want to make suggestions to use any nuts if he has allergies to some nuts. I would suggest a full panel of skin allergy tests. The offending foods have to go to get the system to calm down. My younger son has " outgrown " many of his true allergies. But we strictly avoided the allergens for several years. I am assuming that SCD contributed to the " outgrowing " as well. But we did avoid the allergens even on SCD for quite a while. I gradually retried foods about a year into SCD and found that he could tolerate them. A recent skin test showed that the vast majority of the previous allergies are gone. Just 2 left and one is not allowed on SCD anyway. True allergies are not something to fool around with. Hives are a certain sign of a true allergy. Jody mom to -5 and -8 SCD 21 months

Guest guest
Hi Meghan, Digestive wellness sells coconut flour. http://www.digestivewellness.com/category.aspx? UserID=2618 & SessionID=Gb8QhNydy1rii0UOMMnb & SID=8 & Category_ID=87 & You could make macademia flour at home if you have a food processor or blender. > Can either of these be made or purchased for nut flours? If so how > do you make it or easier for me where to purchase? is > allergic to so much (most nuts, peanuts, eggs, etc) but seems to > tolerate these. If so how can I make some baked goods without eggs > or mashed bananas (due to allergies)? There is a list of egg free baked good recipes at http://pecanbread.com/recipes.html You may be able to try one of these and substitute the macademia flour/butter for the other nut flours/butters used.
