Guest guest
I have a dear friend who is diabetic and wants to watch her carb intake. I'm concerned (and so is she) because she eats a double serving of oatmeal and usually some type of fruit--which is 3 carb servings right there. She says a single serving doesn't fill her up, so I suggested she may want to step up her protein and eat a serving of oatmeal (and possibly a fruit as long as she limits her daily fruit servings) plus some sort of protein or breakfast meat such as bacon, sausage or ham. Both of us are blind and we would appreciate it if someone could give us specific names or brands of meat items for breakfast that weren't loaded with fat. A breakfast meat would give her her morning protein, but if it's all fat that's definitely not good. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, so we can tell our helpers what to look for.
