Hello-

Medicare is my only insurance, which I have because I receive SSDI. Have any of you had any luck getting Medicare to pay for the I.V. medication? I did the I.V.s two years ago and thought Medicare had paid for it. I found out differently this morning. As it turns out, they didn't pay for it--or didn't pay very well and evidently my local clinic just took the hit and didn't bill me. They (my local clinic folk) aren't willing to pay for it a second time, and I don't expect them to.

So, now I'm trying to find out if there's a specific way I should handle this to get Medicare to pay for some or all of it. Or, can anyone recommend a supplemental insurance...or ANYTHING? I'm hoping to start everything this Monday (Jan. 8), but am willing to postpone if it means saving a substantial amount of money. Dr. Sinnott is my doctor, if that changes anything. I thought I would give his office a call, too, for advice.

Thanks in advance,

in Kansas
