Hi Peggy,

We do have a lot of things that we suffer in common, lol. One of my

allergies is tree pollen and the rest are a range of foods and hayfever, some

drugs

and even lately cold temperatures, makes my skin go red and itch! I also have

a rash that comes and goes, and as yet that is undiagnosed.

I hope you find out soon what is causing yours!

I think you maybe mentioned the grape juice before on this list? (at least I

think I read it here!)

I actually started drinking it instead of the apple juice that I often drink,

as I thought it couldnt hurt to try it, and I noticed when I drink it

regularly I havent had the afib on those days..now for the amazing

news...lol.....this morning the heart was chugging and banging away , unusually,

and I read your

email and it reminded me to try the grape juice when I HAD the Afib..and

guess what, I can barely believe it, but it has stopped!

I will try it again and again and make sure it isnt psychological, but to be

honest I didnt really think it would stop it, so I dont think it can be

psychological.

Grapes have a high level of salicylic acid (which is also in aspirin in

synthetic form, as acetylsalicylic acid) ,

and I react to aspirin with getting a wheezy chest but not to the foods that

have salicylic acid in them. The Afib is still calm, I cant believe that

worked!!! I am amazed!

Thank you for the link btw :))

I think this is worth investigating further:)

I am sad to say we dont have the name Butt anywhere in the family as far as

I am aware, but I've never undertaken a geneology study , so who knows!?

I'll let you know any info that I come across that may interest you...and

about the grape juice effects in the future!

Still stunned here!

I use the concord grape juice (organic and 100%) I don't know if it

makes a difference? I too notice if I drink it as soon as the afib starts and

take a couple of magnesium too it has stopped the attack on at least 4 occasions

so far. I had and attack about 3 weeks ago when I was going up and down

stairs several times and I could not get to the grape juice or magnesium because

I

was not at home so not sure if it would have worked that time?

When I mentioned the grape juice to my wife, she immediately asked, " White

or Purple? "

Or does it make any difference?

Also, my Doc put me on Singulair for a trial period. It is primarily for

Asthma, but is also used for hay fever. Only been two days, so I don't

know yet. Will post the results if there are any.

I don't really have asthma per se. I do have COPD and permanent Afib. I

also have some allergies of the hayfever sort, more or less. The Doc

decided to give the Singulair a try for the allergies along with

Flonase. I have been having more shortness of breath lately but almost no

wheezing. Just took the third Singulair pill and the Doc says it takes a

while for the stuff to take effect. So will pass along the experience as

it happens.
