Guest guest
I've had some neck tightness/pain the past couple days, and that has been a hyper symptom for me in the past. So I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to determine whether or not I'm taking too much T3 apart from running labs. My pulse is averaging 90 for the past week, but it has averaged 89 for the last 30 days and 86 for the past 90 days, so 90 isn't really abnormal for me (at least not lately). My temps have been stable for the past 3 days (since dropping back down to 62.5mcg Cynomel). Would they be unstable if I were taking too much, or not necessarily? I do want to run a T3 lab, but not if it's going to tell me I'm hyper, then I have to adjust dose and test again. I'd rather not waste $50...lol. Also, how soon after making a dose change can you run a lab and get an accurate result? ~Rainbow~ 30 year old Female 5'6 " 137lbs Dx: Hashi's, AF, Wheat Sensitivity Rx/OTC: Cynomel 62.5mcg, HC 30mg, Florinef 1tab, Potassium 13,500mg, Sea Salt 1 & 1/2tsp My Log: http://tinyurl.com/pvgjmb My Blog: http://hyporainbow.wordpress.com
Guest guest
If your T3 is high enough to cause adrenal stress temps would beunstable. Usully 3-4 \days is all it take to reflect changes in T3 dosing on labs. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
Do you think it's possible to be hyper without it causing adrenal stress? Or perhaps I'm taking enough HC to cover up the adrenal stress, if it's there? I guess what I could do is stay on this same dose over the weekend, run the lab on Monday, then if the result is too high, reduce and then dose by symptoms. What do you think? ~Rainbow~ 30 year old Female 5'6 " 137lbs Dx: Hashi's, AF, Wheat Sensitivity Rx/OTC: Cynomel 62.5mcg, HC 30mg, Florinef 1tab, Potassium 13,500mg, Sea Salt 1 & 1/2tsp My Log: http://tinyurl.com/pvgjmb My Blog: http://hyporainbow.wordpress.com > > If your T3 is high enough to cause adrenal stress temps would > beunstable. Guest guest
If you are on too much T3 and are coving the adrenal stress your temps will be too high, as will your pulse. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
I just got the TSH and FT4 results from a week ago: 11.06.09 TSH - 0.005 L (range 0.45 - 4.5) 11.06.09 T4, Free - 0.03 L (range 0.02 - 1.77) Would those point to me being on too high a dose? It's hard to know whether or not my temps are too high, as all the past temps I have to compare to are too low. But it's possible they are. ~Rainbow~ 30 year old Female 5'6 " 137lbs Dx: Hashi's, AF, Wheat Sensitivity Rx/OTC: Cynomel 62.5mcg, HC 30mg, Florinef 1tab, Potassium 13,500mg, Sea Salt 1 & 1/2tsp My Log: http://tinyurl.com/pvgjmb My Blog: http://hyporainbow.wordpress.com > > If you are on too much T3 and are coving the adrenal stress your temps > will be too high, as will your pulse. > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ >

Guest guest
Rainbow....I've seen a couple of posts today and frankly, I have been waiting for this day and I don't mean that in nasty way. It's your low ferritin. You can't keep raising T3 to that extent with such a low ferritin. I'm glad Val said something about not tolerating the T3 because I'm sure this is it. When I had a ferritin of 50 and tried to raise to 70 of T3, bad news. Hyper without being officially hyper. Remember I made mention of this about a month ago. I told you you were setting yourself to fail and I think that's where you're at now. If I remember correctly your ferritin was 16, what 2 months ago? It can't be high enough yet. Just can't. I just hope you don't have to over correct now to a much to low amount of T3. I had to go from 70 to 45 and start all over. The TSH shows either hyper or that you are not tolerqting the dose you are on, either way it shows you need to take LESS> --            Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV              http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/        http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/           http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/             http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ ------------------------------------
Guest guest
What would prove that I was officially hyper? A high T3 lab? The only symptom I have right now is a tight neck. I wouldn't necessarily call that not tolerating it...just that it's not necessarily the right dose for me. Going higher destabilized my temps, but if it's too much for me, that would make sense. I've been feeling very well lately - like I'm almost " there. " I just may have overshot it a bit now that the RT3 is gone. ~Rainbow~ 30 year old Female 5'6 " 137lbs Dx: Hashi's, AF, Wheat Sensitivity Rx/OTC: Cynomel 62.5mcg, HC 30mg, Florinef 1tab, Potassium 13,500mg, Sea Salt 1 & 1/2tsp My Log: http://tinyurl.com/pvgjmb My Blog: http://hyporainbow.wordpress.com > > > The TSH shows either hyper or that you are not tolerqting the dose you > > are on, either way it shows you need to take LESS> > > > > -- > > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > > > > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ > > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------ > > > >
Guest guest
NO cause you can have that when T3 is pooling. HIgh pulse, high temps prove too much T3. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
Hooo boy...now I'm really confused. Is there a way to know for sure if a person is pooling? I'm beginning to think that an FT3 lab would be useless. ~Rainbow~ 30 year old Female 5'6 " 137lbs Dx: Hashi's, AF, Wheat Sensitivity Rx/OTC: Cynomel 62.5mcg, HC 30mg, Florinef 1tab, Potassium 13,500mg, Sea Salt 1 & 1/2tsp My Log: http://tinyurl.com/pvgjmb My Blog: http://hyporainbow.wordpress.com > > NO cause you can have that when T3 is pooling. Guest guest
There are times when labs are helpful qnd times when they are not.But a FT3 over 6.5 no matter if ti si gettign to the cells or not is too high. If it is from ppooling it is too high and oyu need ot lower the dose, if it is from too much meds it si too high and oyu need ot lower the dose. Two causes same results, and same fix, lower the dose. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
What causes pooling again? Low cortisol? Low ferritin? I guess I'm wondering...if pooling is the problem...will reducing fix it for good or is it something that will come back? And at what point do you think an FT3 lab would be useful for me? ~Rainbow~ 30 year old Female 5'6 " 137lbs Dx: Hashi's, AF, Wheat Sensitivity Rx/OTC: Cynomel 62.5mcg, HC 30mg, Florinef 1tab, Potassium 13,500mg, Sea Salt 1 & 1/2tsp My Log: http://tinyurl.com/pvgjmb My Blog: http://hyporainbow.wordpress.com > > There are times when labs are helpful qnd times when they are not.But a > FT3 over 6.5 no matter if ti si gettign to the cells or not is too high. > If it is from ppooling it is too high and oyu need ot lower the dose, if > it is from too much meds it si too high and oyu need ot lower the dose. > Two causes same results, and same fix, lower the dose. > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ >
