Check out http://www.pecanbread.com/goatyogurt.html Especially for those just starting the diet coming from gfcf we usually suggest waiting a couple of weeks. But, if things are going great write in and we'll help you get started. You don't need to buy a yogurt maker to make the yogurt. You can make it in your oven - directions are in the book, " Breaking the vicious Cycle " (BTVC) or with a heating pad http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/beginners_guide/yoghurt/heati ng_pad_yoghurt.htm ;Also you can pick up yogurt makers very cheaply at yard sales, thrift stores, I bought one for $15 thru the internet and my MIL bought one for $3. My husband also built one with a light bulb socket, 60 watt bulb and a wooden box (total cost $5-6). > I guess what really worries me is that he's such a picky eater anyway. If the first bite of his food isn't yummy, he just wants to pitch it across the room. Then it's very hard to get him to try new things. I'm really looking forward to all of your input. I'm sorry this turned into a book. Since many of the parents here are familiar with oicky eaters we have a section on the topic at http://pecanbread.com/difficulties.html#picky Depending on the type of food your son likes ( crunchy, soft, cold etc.) the parents here might have some suggestions for you. Guest guest
I guess what really worries me is that he's such a picky eater anyway. If the first bite of his food isn't yummy, he just wants to pitch it across the room. Then it's very hard to get him to try new things. A lot of us have picky eaters. My son lives on chicken pancakes drizzled with diluted honey, hamburger, eggs, cashew(peanut butter) muffins, bananas, and frozen veggies (pureed and frozen like a popcicle). We have only been doing the diet for 25 days now, but he has surprized me a few times. I made the pumpkin pie, cooked like custard with no crust. He wouldn't touch it. I put some honey on it, and he ate the whole thing! It's just a matter of experiementing. Good luck!
