Guest guest
Hi , Yes..... you need to put water in. If yours is a Yogourmet, it will take about 10 ounces or so when you're doing a full 2 qt batch. It's just enough to make the inner container float.... just a bit..... so it's surrounded with water. That keeps the temperature even. I'm sorry.... I don't know anything about nut yogurt.... I've never made it. I'm sure someone else can offer some tips. " Yes, you are supposed to put water inside before you put the container into the yogurt maker. Not very much water or it will spill out over the top. Mine has a little plastic line on the inside that shows where to fill it to. About an inch thick. The container disperses the water once you sit it inside. Marjan recommended very gently stirring the nut yogurt a few times while it is fermenting. Maybe that would help make it come out thicker. Guest guest
I just ordered that one...not sure about the timer either. Should get it in a day or two. It was $14.99. Marla > I love my Yogourmet. you'll just end up wishing you could make a lot more yogurt all at once and have it in a single big container. I know there is a cheaper one..... I think by Salton...... that make one quart. I think it has a timer that stops it at 10 hours, though..... not sure.

Guest guest
There are sooooo many options, I find it hard to decide. But I asked because my birthday is next week and I am asking for one for my birthday, and now I know what to tell my husband to look for The oven isn't an option, we have only one and it seems to be used constantly. My daughter is addicted to the " cheese crackers " . Thanks everyone!! Re: yogurt maker > > > >> I'm very happy with our Yogourmet from Lucy's Kitchen Shop.
