Guest guest
Has anyone ever heard of a septum being WITHIN the gestational sac not necessarily caused by an abnormally shaped uterus? Doctor just gave me that news, but said the " septum " may disappear on next u/s IF it had been a twin. Pregnancy is going along nicely after bleeding early---almost 12 weeks. It seems like I have a NEW problem each time I go----but, so far, the others have resolved themselves. Help! I have look everywhere!!! Thanks! Guest guest
Judy I am sorry I don't read the board much anymore so I am not familiar with your history. However, I have encountered something similar to your current situation At my 8 week appt, my OB noticed what she thought was a " septum " in the sac. She also considered it might vanish with the next US - thinking it was a vanishing twin. When I saw it on the US, it looked like a band dividing the sac in half However when I went to see the Peri, he said it was some sort of uterine scar tissue that they see from time to time (the term sounded like sinichia??). He said it would stetch itself out and go away on its own without causing any problems. Low and behold by 14 weeks it was gone. I will get the spelling from him when I see him again on Thursday. When I did a search of it on the internet it seemed fairly common. I will post again to you when I find the spelling. Please feel free to email me offline as I rarely read the board much anymore.
