Carol,

I think it all depends on the person. I had the 5 o'clock shadow in October, and now I have a full head of short hair, actually I'm getting my first hair trim Saturday, to even out the areas.

I am new to this group, and I have sent two Intro's and neither has shown up yet. SOO I thought I would respond to a post and see if it works.

Hi Ladies! This question is for all you veterans out there. My last chemo is a week from tomorrow (WHOOOPPPIE!!!!) and most of the hats I have were "wintry". I was wondering about how long it will be before I will start seeing a "five o'clock shadow" on my head. I need to know whether to buy some warmer weather hats. Thanks!Carol from Ohio

Hi Carol,

My last chemo was Jan. 25 and I'm still wearing hats. My hair is 1/8 -

1/4 " long. It wasn't very thick to begin with, and it doesn't look like

it's growing in any thicker (though my eyelashes & eyebrows seem

thicker). Now I'm hoping by mid-summer to loose the hat/wig.

btw, my eyelashes and eyebrows started falling out 5-7 weeks post-chemo,

so don't be surprised if yours do.
