Guest guest
Hello: I know I have read that some parents report regression on the SCD diet at the 3month mark and I believe the 7th month? Any reported regression at 5 months? My son is showing yeast symptoms again, and will start the nystatin. Just wanted to check to see if this is a documented time of regression. Thanks for any input Reen Mom to son age 7, colitis- SCD 22 weeks

Guest guest
Hi , > This may be good news for me. My son has been on the diet for six months and has not been himself for nearly two weeks. I am wondering if he is developing a new allergy having eggs and nuts every morning. If it is a typical regression, how long does it last? > Have you given him any new foods in the last 3-4 weeks. Are you using a probiotic or yogurt (if yes, when did you start)? Sometimes these regressions are caused by further die-of. When that is the case, some have found that going back to more basic foods (for a short time) and using a probiotic or yogurt helps to clear it out sooner. But there isn't really a set time (because it depends on so many different factors). Also, when the die-off clears there is often a push forward in improvement. Guest guest
Hi , The website didn't list the source of the vitamin C (Magscorbobplex). You'll probably have to contact the company and check it out with them. You didn't list the multivitamin 's name but you'll probably have to contact them also. What's the name of the multi? Have you tried the constipation protocol? http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/knowledge_base/kb/constipatio n.htm What is he eating and how is it prepared? Sheila 45 mos SCD, 20 yrs UC mom of SCD 30 mos > No new foods or probiotics. However, he has started Magscorbplex (for constipation) and a new multi. They are both SCD legal, but w/ all the vitamin C for constipation, I am beginning to wonder about the source. The containers say " No..Corn.. " and " Free of corn protein, " but because Isaac has a true corn allergy, I need to find out where the C is from. He hasn't had an ear infection since being on SCD, which is pretty remarkable considering his history, and has been pulling on his ears again. I could stop the mult and see if he improves, but I am afraid to stop the Magscorbplex because it is the only thing that keeps his BMs moving... Anyone know about the source of the C in Magscorbplex? > TIA, > > of this message have been removed]
