, We are so very sorry, but you both fought a brave battle, and he must

have

been one special man and husband. Imagine not wanting you to suffer, too.

Thank

God you had the time together and you were his first and last thought. It

will be

hard for you,but not everone has such wonderful memories. God Bless and keep

you and all those wonderful people who were there when you needed them. We

will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Nick & Jane

, I am so, so sorry to hear about the loss of your husband.

Words just never seem adequate enough. I hope you will find comfort

in knowing that you did everything that you could do and that he

passed away peacefully, and quickly with you right there by his

side. May God give you the strength to go forward and may your

wonderful memories of him sustain you.

Lots of hugs,

Monika

My husband died after an 18 month battle with colon cancer. He lived

almost right up to the end under his own steam. He went very quickly

starting Monday night and by Tuesday night we had him at the hopice

center which was really wonderful. Today when we got there he was in

a coma. Friends and family were there for us. At 7 oclock I sent

everyone out of the room and talked with him and held his hand until

he just quietly stopped breathing. I suspect he heard me saying I

planned to stay the night with him and he didn't want me to so he

died so I would sleep at home. He was like that.
