a,

Yes, the suspense was good, but reading "It's a girl" was better. I am like Kim, I'm glad I know before the birth because it helps me bond! Everyone is different though!

Anyway, I'm going to be a bit biased when I say this, so please forgive me anyone, but I love little girls! Probably because thats what I have, but I have so much fun with Olivia. It's like having a live in best friend! She's almost 7 and we just have so much fun doing things together. It's a special bond... but mothers with boys also share a special bond... I guess I'm just speaking about what I know!

The one great thing about having a girl is that when you are old, I'm sure a daughter will see to it that you are a presentable old woman! I mean, I've got someone that I know will make sure I don't walk around with whiskers or anything when I'm 80!!! :)

So, have you and your DH started talking about names yet? I know you said that because of your heritage, you don't buy anything before the baby is born. Have you started getting ideas though or looking? It's so much fun!!!

a,

It's better to wait to shop anyway. You never know how big the

little one will be. Sometimes those 0-3 month clothes last for

about 2 weeks (Or, in Daisy's case, 6 months!)

Good luck with your little girl. I think the m,ost delightful

thing about little girls is that little high pitched scream they all

seem to have.

Take care, DeeAnn

Hi -

Don't you love suspense, though! LOL

Everyone says girls are sweet - I certainly hope so! One of the

reason we wanted a girl was we have plenty of nephews, and boys are

such an armful!

That is great, then you can wait and go shopping together, even more

fun than doing it before she is born.

I am not sure why everyone thinks that, because I am having a boy,

and all I do is seem to shop lately!

I think the tradition of naming the baby after a deceased loved on is very special! I hope you can get the OK from DH's side of the family! I like also, but I know what you mean about having the two r's close together! My friend who just had a baby loved the name Colin for a boy, but their last name is and she thought that was to many L's!

Good luck in your decision making process!

Thanks ! Boys are nice, but I hear girls are alot easier. So, we

are excited.

Yes, we started thinking about names, and there is already a problem.

I always wanted to name my daughter about my great-grandmother Clara.

It was the name I was supposed to have, but then my mom decided it

sounded too Jewish (a bad thing in Russia in those days, and probably

even now), so they kept the first letter (in Russian it was Klara) and

named me a.

Unfortunately, Clara is also the name of DH's grandmother on his

father's side, who is still alive (and in Jewish tradition you don't

name kids after living people). Moreover, my MIL did not get along

with her MIL, to put it mildly. We'll have to run the name by her, but

I just don't want to hear she will have a problem with it. We could

use , but I don't think Ross sounds as nice as Clara

Ross. It will be hard to me to say two R's close together like that.

Ahhh, what to do!!??!!

Clara is beautiful. It is frustrating how family is so opinionated

about our baby name choices. Dh and I have stopped telling them...it

is so rude when someone says " ewww " or " what " to a name you think is

beautiful. All the more reason for us to be alone at the delivery so

we can name the baby -just the two of us!
