Ok girls, are you ready? We opened that envelope. And, we are having a ************GIRL*********************!!!!Dh was sooooo thrilled. He had been wishing for a girl, while I was convinced it was a boy. I guess the Chinese gender prediction, old wive's tales, mother's intuition were all wrong. Well, there is still a 10% chance it's a boy, and I will be happy in any event.I must admit, though, that I was reluctant to find out. I think on the next one we will wait.a

That is GREAT news, a little girl. How excited you and dh must be! I

would not trade knowing what sex this baby is for anything, I am

enjoying getting to know him and call him by his name, etc.

How wonderful, congratulations. Now you can go shopping for girl

items, they are so adorable.

Russian/Jewish tradition, I can't buy anything for the baby until it's

born. Well, this girl will have to wait to go shopping.

I love Nico! You could name a girl and call her Nico! We are

still working on names...if it's a boy we are leaning towards Noah or

Preston. A girl... or or Madison or......oh gosh, it's

just so hard to narrow it down! We are using family names as the

middle name, although Noah is one of my DH's great Grandfather's name

and it's always been one of my favorites!

Okay, so just out of curiosity...are you carrying low or high? Did

you have lots of m/s or just a little? What has your baby's heartbeat

range been on average? Can you see where I'm headed with all of this?

I know you said none of the wives tales were right where you are

Yes, the suspense was good, but reading "It's a girl" was better. I am like Kim, I'm glad I know before the birth because it helps me bond! Everyone is different though!

Anyway, I'm going to be a bit biased when I say this, so please forgive me anyone, but I love little girls! Probably because thats what I have, but I have so much fun with Olivia. It's like having a live in best friend! She's almost 7 and we just have so much fun doing things together. It's a special bond... but mothers with boys also share a special bond... I guess I'm just speaking about what I know!

The one great thing about having a girl is that when you are old, I'm sure a daughter will see to it that you are a presentable old woman! I mean, I've got someone that I know will make sure I don't walk around with whiskers or anything when I'm 80!!!

So, have you and your DH started talking about names yet? I know you said that because of your heritage, you don't buy anything before the baby is born. Have you started getting ideas though or looking? It's so much fun!!!
