Hi ,

I'm only 11 weeks, but my surgeon's nurse (who had 2 babies after

her gastric bypass) says that I should expect to gain about 30 lbs

and lose 40 lbs quickly after birth. I'm also about 1yr and 3 months

out from my lap rny. Don't worry, it sounds like your just " normal.

"

I had a lap rny in Sept. of 2000, I'm currently 37 weeks pregnant and have

gained 25 lbs. I am totally fine with that weight gain. My basic thought

is that when I went through weight loss surgery, I tried really hard not to

compare myself with others and the amount they were losing or how fast they

were losing.

I have applied the same principal to the pregnancy. I am healthy, my baby

is healthy. I wouldn't worry that anything is wrong. As long as your dr.

is fine with where you are at, you should take comfort in that and not

worry! Hang in there!
