Dear Batgirl, The conventional wisdom is that septa do not cause infertility, although they can cause recurring miscarriage. Your OB-GYN may be right, but the only way to confirm it would be to do a beta hCG test shortly before your menstrual period is due. For what it is worth, I had a complete septum and no endometriosis. Having my septum operated on and reduced in size somewhat did allow me to finally carry a baby to term. I had had a couple of very early miscarriages that could have been caused by an inhospitable septum. Taking out the septum probably could not hurt, and you might also have some endo lasered off at the same time--doesn't it tend to recur rather suddenly? I have heard that the optimal time to TTC following endo lasering is within 6 months of surgery. So perhaps you might kill two birds with one stone. Just a thought. Good luck to you. Guest guest
--- Thank you for the input. I tried to find out what that test is, but all I found out is that is has something to do with pregnancy?
