April:

My heart is with you. Your husband was so young to leave you; you

are so young to have to go through all of this. I lost my husband a

year and a half ago; he was 55.

Some of the following links may help you to find some inspirational

poetry or words. (I also found that there are some lyrics to songs

that may be very appropriate.)

Thinking of you and hoping that, in time, your special memories may

help to bring you some comfort and peace through this difficult time.

Fondly,

Amie

Do not stand at my grave and weep

I am not there, I do not sleep

I am a thousand winds that blow

I am the diamond glint on snow

I am the sunLight on the ripened grain

I am the gently falling autumn rain

When you wake in the morning hush

I am the swift upLighting rush

of quiet birds in circling flight

I am the soft starLight at night

Do not stand at my grave and weep

I am not there, I do not sleep

April: Nick and I are so very sorry that you lost your young husband,I know

words

won't make it any easier. There have been lots of poems, many of which I

copied,

you could write your own, saying that even though the sun has gone out of your

life

you will see him in every star, every sunrise, every rainbow and he will never

leave your heart. You shared it all,and now there is a void that will be as

though the very life

has gone from your soul. Soul mates are special, you had one,he would want you

to free his spirit, let his pain be gone, but in spirit he will be there, when

you need him.

God Bless and keep you and I know someone will send you copies of some of the

wonderful writting( I am not at home and don't have them with me) I hope you

have

someone to share your pain and suffering and that a time will come when you

will

appreciate that at least you have the memories. Hugs and prayers Nick & Jane

April,

I am so very sorry for your loss. May God wrap you in His loving

arms and give you peace and comfort during this very difficult time.

I have a couple of poems that my husband and I like. We were looking

for a poem or reading for our funeral planning. Hope this helps.

God bless you and keep you close.

Becky Beach

In His Garden

God looked around His garden,

And saw an empty space.

Then he looked down here on earth,

And saw your loving face.

He put his arms around you,

And lifted you to rest.

His garden must be beautiful,

Because he only picks the best.

A million times we'll miss you,

A million times we'll cry.

If love could have saved you,

You never would have died.

In life we loved you dearly,

In death we love you still.

In our hearts you hold a special place,

No one could ever fill.

It broke our hearts to loose you,

But you did not go alone,

For part of us went with you,

The day God took you home.

~ Author Unknown ~

This one was passed around on here a few months ago. I thought it

was beautiful. I read it to my husband who said he wanted it read at

his funeral. I have since made a powerpoint presentation of it with

background pictures so that no one has to read it and it will give us

a quiet time during his funeral.

FOR THOSE I HAVE LEFT BEHIND

I have not gone far...I still see...

Those tears you shed...are for me...

I am not unhappy...I am not sad...

I just thank God...For all we had...

I did not choose...To go away...

But God told me...I couldn't stay...

He reached for me...with loving care...

Come with me child...If you dare...

Reach out your arms...to those below...

Blow them a kiss...So they will know...

Let the breeze of your kiss... Pass across their brow...

Let them know you are safe...and happy now...

Now dry your eyes...And remember me...

For where I am...Was meant to be...

To you that I have left behind...

The love we've shared...Will always bind...

If a breeze should pass...Across your brow...

Remember from where it came...And how...

Until we meet again one day...

I've not gone far... I am just away..

Original Poem By: Joanne T. Romano (2001)

I liked this one because just a week before in the beginning of

spring, my husband and I were sitting outside and he told me whenever

I felt a gentle breeze brush across my face to know that he was with

me.

I REMEMBER...

I remember the times of laughter,

I remember the times of tears.

These are the precious memories

My heart will hold so dear.

Gone are the days of sickness,

Gone is the pain and fear.

He's with his blessed Saviour now

For all the coming years.

They are walking streets of Gold

And communing hand in hand.

His home is now in Heaven,

That blessed promised land.

So I'll dry my eyes and praise the Lord

For the plan that He has made

That takes us from this world of pain

And brings a brighter day.

I will cry when my heart needs to

But I'll let laughter come again

And I know that I'll be with him

When God fulfills His plan.
