Guest guest
Hi Janine I am UU and have recently had a little girl after a full term pregnancy. I was diagnosed when I was about 21 (am now 31) my pregnancy was a complete accident and surprise. I was monitored closely throughout the pregnancy by the consultant who originally diagnosed me. Feel free to contact me if you need to talk. I agree there are not many of us that are UU and most people (midwifes included!) have never even heard of the condition, which is not encouraging. Guest guest
Hi Jo Thnks for your email. I had my follow up appt with my consultant today and he said I have a UU with a rudimentary horn and I have 2 fallopian tubes and 2 ovaries. My main concern is that I could become pregnant in the horn which would result in a termination or ectopic. My consultant sd that I have a 50/50 chance of the embryo planting in either side. Do you know if you have the same thing. I think most people only have only fallopian tube - so if any of you out there have 2 would love to hear from you. Did you have your cervix stitched Jo and did you give birth vaginally or a c section? Congratulations to you that is wonderful news! Guest guest
Janine, There is some info, stories, and the sign-up address for a UU listserv at the following URL: http://home.earthlink.net/~hrair/ /UU/30 > Hi, any ladies out there online with a UU abnormality. May be wrong, but there doesn't seem to be that many out there! If you have this condition would love to hear your story. > > Janine
Guest guest
Dear Jo I had my follow up appt today following mylap/hyster and still feel very confused and worried. I have a UU with a rudimentary horn, 2 tubes and 2 ovaries. The consultant sd there is a chance of me becoming pregnant in the horn because i have a connecting tube. If I become pregnant I could get scanned a 5 wks and have the pregnancy terminated but not sure how this would be done and the risks. It was so much to take in during the pregnancy that it has become a bit muddled! I think I am being to get stressed out again!! I know that he did mentioned that I would have to have surgery to remove the horn or? could have an injection to terminante the embryo. But not sure. What really worries me if I have to have surgery they will remove the horn and I have read that the risks with this are grea. He did mention that he had done a removal of a horn before but that it could cause excessive bleeding and at worst a hysterectomy. I am really worried. I do not know the odds of me becoming pregnant in the good side, I think its 50/50. Can you or anybody help in sharing their advice or thoughts?
