My OB said it is a 1000 year old virus, 1 out of every three pregnant women have it and only about .03% of babies become infected during delivery. Needless to say, he put it into perspective. I only wish the information I came across on the internet had given as much unbiased information, because I was so upset I hardly slept for 2 days.
