Welcome! I also have a bicornate uterus (possibly with a small septum at

the bottom) and although it's been a long road (7 m/c over 12 years), I had

a baby girl at age 29, a boy at age 36, and currently pregnant with twin

boys ... my OB (who is excellent) doesn't really know why I had so many m/c

as he says that BU doesn't cause m/c the way that SU does, but just kept

encouraging me to try ... so here I am :)

I would definitely get the HSG to see what is going on in there ... and I'd

also recommend charting your fertility particularly if your periods aren't

regular ...

these ladies are great, a gold mine of information and there are many many

success stories here :)

good luck!

Mikki - I just read your post from August 13th. Sorry you are having

so much discomfort right now. Good luck on making it past 32 weeks!

I am very encouraged by your response to my post. Hopefully it won't

take years for me to get pregnant as I am already 35.

I was wondering though - how did they diagnose you with BU and

distinguish from SU? I had an ultrasound (still waiting on the HSG)

where they also did a transvaginal ultrasound which I heard is 80%

accurate in diagnosing BU. Is it important if you are BU to know what

the state of your septum is if it is only partial?

Also, you mentioned uterine discomfort where your septum is...since

we've been TTC I get a small pinching on the right side and I can

press there and it's a bit tender........also been spotting 6 days

post ovulation the last two months as well...just wondering if any of

this sounds familiar.

We've only been TTC for 3 months now. I am torn between my fear of

not becoming pregnant and the fact that I am pursueing my BU

condition after only 3 months trying.

Thanks,

Sylvana
