Hi, Judy. The mother cat was on my porch till late last night. When I went to bed after 2:00, she was still out there waiting for me. She has gotten very attached to me and my dog and no matter where she is, if I whistle for her, she comes runnning out of the bushes or from the fields. I fed her about an hour ago, and she is still on the porch waiting for me to come out. I'm afraid that her kittens are cold somewhere and that she' not feeding them because of the amount of time she spends hanging around me and my dog, Molly. I really fear the worse. I have walked through all the lilacs and trees and the brush and down through my acreage and around my garage and car port and vehicles--anywhere she could have taken them. She walks with me, but doesn't show an interest in going to them anywhere. So, I'm going to let nature take its course. If the kittens have met harm, it won't happen again, because she's getting spayed as soon as I'm sure she is not still nursing them somewhere. This is my 2d of my 3d chemo and I feel pretty good today. Nothing like the first chemo, which hit me hard. So I know I can do this now. I go for the Neulasta shot this afternoon, and I started on the steroids again this morning for 2 days. The Neulasta shot makes me achy. Thanks for writing back about the cats. Also, Mike, thanks for the message. I am trying to put this into perspective and not worry about them too much, because I have to just think about getting well right now. My Mom is doing well with handling her breast cancer, which has now metasticized to her femur and to her lungs. She and I have been leaning on each other for support, yet she is more worried about me than she is about herself, and vice-versa. I know how much you miss your Mom, and seeing them go through this is so heart-wrenching. I think of you and pray for you. Love to you all. Jill

I am not sure if you can go near cats or not. The mommy cat will take care of her babies even if this is her first litter. It is a second nature for them. Just feed the mommy and she will be nourished enough to feed the babies. WE had a wild cat that come to our job years ago. I used to feed it every day for about 3 mths, then winter came and my boss agreed to allow it to stay in the garage. After about 1 mth she was pregnant. She ended up having the baby in the shop. She remained a little bit wild but the babies were great. WE kept one and got rid of the rest. I loved them!

Glad to hear all is goign well!
