Guest guest
I'll definitely keep that in mind. Have to do vegan baking on occasion, but so far nobody's asked for that particular list...hmm, honey corn cakes? Guest guest
I dont blame you for not taking them lol I really dont want to up my supplement because I have heard of the constipation it causes, and as of right now I am just fine in that department Ü......but I cant stand the fatigue again all of a sudden. Marcy Re: iron supplements Sorry, Marcy -- I don't take any extra iron. I'll be watching the repsonses! > I'll go ahead and post this again, since I didnt even receive one response. Maybe everyone is gone for the weekend. Hope all is well. > > Marcy Wallis > > > Hi everyone, > > I had a question regarding iron supplements. Can you all tell me what you take daily? I take ferrous SO4 325 MG (5gr) and I take one daily. That WAS working for me, but lately I am SOOOO tired again. I am 21-22 weeks and I definately went through major fatigue in my first trimester, but was getting better, and the past week, I'm exhausted again. I was wondering if I should take 2 of these iron supps a day. Thanks! > > Marcy Wallis > edd 12/08/02 > > ps- I DO have a doctors appt this week so I will ask my doctor too, I just wanted an idea of what everyone took. > > >
Guest guest
Do not double your iron without speaking to a doctor. While you may need it, you may not. pregnancy can cause you to be VERY tired all the time. While most people get energy in the second trimester some women do not. So talk this over with your doctor. I take two iron pills a day but I am also anemic. Rasley mailto:drasley@... BTC, Columbus, 10/7/98 > Re: iron supplements > > > Sorry, Marcy -- I don't take any extra iron. Guest guest
Trina, You have a good point there, come to think of it, I havent been getting in enough water the past couple of weeks. My husband keeps shoving the water bottles in my face lol.......I will try that, and make sure I get all my water in and see if that helps. Thanks for the suggestion Trina! Marcy Re: iron supplements I do not take any extra. I did feel the fatigue the same as you at about the same time you are at now. I had my labs done and my iron was fine. Come to find out, the fatigue was caused by me being slightly dehydrated!! I never dreamed that not drinking enough would cause me to feel exhausted. Just a thought! Guest guest
Thanks , I wouldnt THINK of doing anything on my own without talking to my doctor first. I wanted an idea of what everyone else did to take to him at my visit this week. To kind of sound like I knew what I was talking about ya know? lol Anyway, I only take one, and my labs have always been fine, and I am not anemic, so I doubt he will double me up on the iron supps. The water could be my problem, as I have had a hard time getting it all in lately. Thanks for the response. Marcy Re: iron supplements > > > > > > Sorry, Marcy -- I don't take any extra iron. Guest guest
Hi........Congrats! You should find out what your iron readings are. Even though tiredness is just a normal part of pregnancy, because of wls, you may have to double up on them. Under the advice of my OB-Gyn, and WLS, I was told to double up on my iron supplements. However, even though my readings did get better, they never got to the good range during my pregnancy.(I was told babies are basically little parasites, cute sweet ones of course...........they take all of what they need). Again, tiredness is very normal.........sleep was the " BEST " early during my pregnancy. In fact, embrace it now(sleep all the time, and remind others that it's because your pregnant ;-) Believe me, after your " little one " arrives, memories of sleep will be all you have ;-) Unless you have a nanny of course.........
