Guest guest
Hi Melinda! I'm so sorry to hear about your losses. I know EXACTLY how you feel, as does pretty much everyone else on this board. I joined this group in March after finding out about my duplicated uterus (UD). I have learned so much from everyone here in such a short time and I know you will do the same. Although I can not answer your questions about the cerclage and bedrest (because I haven't dealt with that YET) there are plenty of people here who will be able to answer them for you. I lost my baby girl at 19 weeks on December 28, 2003 because of my incompetent cervix that I didn't know that I had at the time. She was my first and only pregnancy. I am assuming that your losses were also due to incompetent cervix (IC) since your dr. is going to be giving you a cerclage? We are currently ttc #2 and I too will have to have a cerclage and bedrest. Also, I notice that you are from Texas, is that correct? I am located in Amarillo and was just wondering what part of the state you are from. Anyway, I just wanted you to know that you will find this group to be a great help and comfort to you and to congratulate you on your current pregnancy. Good luck to you and your dh! Guest guest
thanks for replying Layci. I live in Beaumont texas which, unfortunatly is a long ways from Amarillo. My water broke with each of my babies so I guess it was an ic. I'm very nervous with this pg. If I loose this baby I don't think I will get pg again. I will look into adopting. Anyway Happy BD'ing for you and DH. Melinda > Hi Melinda! > > I'm so sorry to hear about your losses. I know EXACTLY how you feel,
Guest guest
Hi Melinda-Just wanted to say welcome. I'm so glad that you found us. Hopefully there will be some gals who can answer your cerclage questions and share their experiences with you. I'm so, so sorry to hear of your losses. I hope that this pregnancy goes smoothly for you and that the cerclage/bedrest do the trick. I had to be on bedrest for 18 weeks with my DS (b/c of PTL, though, not IC) but will be able to relate if you need to talk about how bored you are! Hang in there and please keep us posted! I'll be thinking of you! Best wishes, UU,

Guest guest
Welcome Melinda! I'm very sorry to hear that you lost 2 babies due to IC. You have come to the right place for support. We have a few members that are on bedrest now and they can share their experiences with you. Are you seeing a perinatologist or maternal fetal medicine dr in addition to your ob? These are specialists that work with high risk pg...which I would say that you have after having your 2 late losses. Congratulations on your pg and again, welcome to the group.
