Yes, It was sudden. I am so sorry for your loss and I had no idea Mark was

that young!

The best tribute we could pay to him is to find a way to make screenings

happen at a much younger age.

My thoughts and prayers are with you

God Bless

Deidra,

I am so very sorry to read about Mark's passing. I often read both

yours and his emails and even recall you writing that you had gone

out to a restaurant to celebrate Easter with family and friends. I

know he was uncomfortable that day but it was good that you got out

to enjoy the Holiday together.

I can only imagine the grief you are feeling now with your loss. You

were a wonderful caretaker to Mark and I know he was grateful for all

your help during your two year fight with this disease.

My prayers are with you now and with your family. Please accept my

deepest sympathy. I am sure Mark and are together now and

watching over us all.

Peace and blessings,

I am so very sorry that Mark has passed away. I understand only too

well what you mean when you say it was sudden; when this disease

takes the life of a loved one who otherwise may have been with us for

many more wonderful years it seems as though there should always

be " another " day. My deepest condolences to you and your son .

Kindest Regards,

My heart goes out to you and your son. Mark and you fought a very

brave battle with courage and love. May you find some comfort in

your many memories and wonderful times spent together. I know that

he is with and they are both looking over you. I am sending

you love and a huge hug.

I truly hope you can find comfort and peace during this devastating

Deidra,

Words cannot begin to express the sympathy and thoughts that go out

to you and your son any more than they can express the pain and loss

you feel.To say that you are in my prayers seems so inadequate but

know that you are.

Mark was the first person on this board to respond to my introduction

last summer. He was so upbeat and encouraging,he gave me strength. Both

of you have been so brave and have helped so many others through this

journey,I am glad that Mark is no longer in pain and I honestly

believe that he's looking down with love for all that you and your

son have shared and allowed him to be at peace.

I'll look forward to hearing from you again, when you are ready, and in

the mean-time I will pray that God will wrap you in His arms and

grant you the peace, strength and comfort that only God can give,to

carry you through this difficult time.

Deidra - I am so sorry that Mark is gone. There are no words adequate

to express the loss and sorrow that accompanies his passing.

You were a wonderful help-meet for Mark, a very brave wife and mother,

and the most supportive, loving caregiver. I will keep you and your

son, ph in my prayers.

Deidra,

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I know that and Mark

really enjoyed 'chatting'. It does happen so suddenly, I know

exactly what you mean. That's how it was for . I do hope that

and Mark have met (and all others on the board lost to

cancer). It brings tears to my eyes (while at work, not the best

time for them) but makes me happy to think of them together. After

the inital shock and rush to handle things, I found my daughter and I

settling into a new routine. But not a day goes by even now that I

don't think of a lot and most nights he's in my dreams somehow.

I wish you all the best in such a terrible time.

Take care,

I am so sorry that Mark has gone. There is a suddeness to the crossing over

from being alive here to no longer being here. And it is a shock to look at

that oh so familiar body and realize that the one you love doesn't live in it

anymore.

My heart goes out to you and I'm glad that you were there to support him through

these terrible times.

I know the CCAlliance must be very appreciative of your support.

Please accept my most sincere sympathy. Having lost a husband to lung cancer at

age 36 I can empathize with what you are going through. You have been a strong

and giving partner to Mark and can take comfort from the wonderful, loving

support you gave each other. I know the road ahead is tough, but you can always

come back here and get support from the incredible people on this site. My

prayers are with you.

Deidra,

I am at a total loss for words. I was just thinking about you and

Mark yesterday. Mark was such a fighter and gave this beast all he

had. It's really frightening to see how many of the old timers here

losing the battle.

May God Bless you and give you the strength and courage that you are

going to need to continue on.

You are in my heart and prayers.
