I dump whenever I eat fruit. Right now I'm craving Hershey's kisses but I can

only eat three a day without getting sick feeling so I'll accept that :)

Watermelon makes me dump almost as soon as I eat it.

Re: Trying Again

Debbie,

Wow, your weight loss is fantastic! That's really tremendous!

Congratulations! You must feel like a completely different person! I hope I

can continue with my weight loss after the baby is born. I saw my surgeon

today, and thankfully he didn't lecture me. He just said I had to be very, very

careful about the food I eat, no junk food. I told him I was craving fruit, and

he said that was great. I told him I was worried about dumping with the fruit,

and he said I probably would not. And I'm happy to say so far so good, cuz I've

been craving fruit like crazy, peaches, melons, oranges anything juicy!

Ada, fruit kills me also, expecially watermelon or pineapple.

I feel blessed too, cuz fruit doesn't bother me, at least not so far. But I

have noticed that other sweets, seem super super sweet nauseatingly sweet. I

can't stand them. Which is good, cuz if I have more than one cookie or more

than a bite of something super sweet I will dump. So far, the fruit has been

good. I'm really craving it. I just came from the store where I bought about

six white peaches, my kids love them and so do I. I'm craving those things like

crazy. FYI, my name is Liz and my middle name is Ada but you can call me Ada if

you wish. I just used that for my Yahoo mail. I'm still not sure how to reply

without copying the whole e-mail I'm replying to. I'm new at this!

Oh, can I vent! I'm a little ticked off right now, cuz I went to my post-op

support group mtg. and it was apparently canceled and no one told me! I was

very upset! I wanted to tell everyone about my pregnancy and get a little

support, but no one was there. I'm going to make some phone calls and find out

what happened.

Thanks for letting me vent!

I also feel blessed that I can do the fruit. I have hypoglycemia with this

pregnancy and I can have JUST eaten and 20 minutes later get the shakes and

dizzy and have to get food in FAST, and the fruit seems to work for me the

fastest. I dont know what I would do if I dumped with it. That just sucks

about your support group meeting tonight, I wonder why you werent notified.

No problem about the venting, thats what everyone is here for

lol......sometimes it feels better to just get it out anyway. Take care!

Marcy,

Thanks for your sympathy. I called about the group and apparently the woman who

coordinated it, isn't doing it anymore and now the Psychologist who did our

Psych evaluations will be doing it, so we won't have a meeting until the 18th.

I wish they had called us to let us know. Oh well. The pscyhologist is pretty

good, she's well known for studying and working with bariatric surgery patients,

so I'm looking forward to her leading the group.
