Adding veggies and a salad and even a slice of 1/2-point Oroweat whole wheat and a 1/2 cup of unsweet applesauce can do the trick! Personally, even someday when I reach maintenance I plan to fit a frozen meal in now and then. I love having a selection to choose from in the freezer for those days I am just tired of sandwiches or need a break from cooking lunch. By the way, if you haven't yet tried them, the Smart Ones Enchiladas Suizas and their 3-Cheese Ziti w/marinara sauce are TO DIE FOR!!!! Yum. Bette (heading for the freezer right now -- it's lunchtime in CA!!)
Guest guest
<<<I live on convenience food, if not for them I wouldn't be nearly as successful as I am.>>> This all ties in with the flexibility of the program. Personally, I don't touch the Smart Ones meals. I could eat two back to back and still be hungry. Plus, if I wanted boxed frozen stuff, I'd do Craig. My philosophy here is simple. If it's a lifestyle change, I want to learn how to eat now so that I can succeed once I reach my goal, and for me, frozen dinners won't be long term. That being said, the program is flexible, and if it works for you, by all means do it. If it doesn't work for whatever reason (sodium, additives, not filling, etc) then don't. We all have the " flex " ibility (note the great incorporation of the new program name) to do this in a way that works with our lifestyle. Guest guest
You get brownie points for that Jon. (What? Brownie points too? Flex points, daily points, activity points and now brownie points?) > -----Original Message----- > From: Jon C > We all have the " flex " ibility (note the great > incorporation of the new program name) to do this in a way that > works with our lifestyle. > >
Guest guest
Ooooh! I really like them! Works great for a " pizza fix! " I primarily get the four cheese pizza or the pepperoni. The spicy sausage is too spicy for me and the barbeque chicken NAME doesn't appeal to me. > Re: RE: Smart Ones > > > I hear the Smart Ones pizzas are yucky anyway! Guest guest
<<fried bologna>> Okay Tory, I know I'm going to regret asking, but why in the world would anyone fry bologna? I can't even stomach to buy it! I'd even throw away my school lunches if mommy packed them with bologna. People actually fry the stuff? Oh, great, gotta take my shoes off. My toes just curled too! Thanks Tory (says Jon with excess sarcasm). Guest guest
It's like cheap bacon. My mom would fry it for us for breakfast in lots of butter......of course as an adult when I looked at the fat content and ingredient list I could never eat it again. Brings back lots of very pleasant childhood memories, my grandfather made breakfast for us when we stayed with him and fried bologna and mayonaised white bread was always on the menu--no wonder I have weight problems.
