Dominique,

Tylenol is completely safe during pg. I haven't taken with all four of my children. And they all came out just fine.

I have suffered headaches through my pgs as well. I think it may have to do with increased blood volume.

Love & hugs,

Jo-Ann

Where I've been

Hello. I'm awfully far behind on the posts, but I'll try my best to catch up soon. I was studying for finals last week - the FINAL finals I'll ever have since next year is just an intership basically, and then dh surprised me with a mini-vacation to Las Vegas. We went for 2 days and nights - He won some, I didn't, but it's still fun to look at all the huge casinos. So I came back yesterday afternoon and had about an hour to rest before I had my second ultrasound appointment. It was very exciting - the baby actually looked like a little baby and we could see the heart beating! So neat!! But then I got this terrible headache and was crying because I didn't want to take anything. I finally broke down and took Tylenol since it was what my dr recommended. Has anyone had experience with headaches during pregnancy? They're what I seem to get rather than morning sickness. I'm just worried about taking too much Tylenol and I'm not really sure of the effects on the baby. Ok, sorry to ramble on. Now I need to go back and see what's happened while I've been gone.Dominique

Dominique, I get migraines a lot so some headaches I can just deal with... But I did get one really bad one, don't really remember what week it was. I was miserable and spent the whole day laying down bc every time I moved it just hurt worse. I FINALLY agreed to take tylenol for it when my parents kept nagging me about it. After that I decided to mention it to the dr and he gave me a prescription (which I never got filled bc I felt too guilty about even having it). He says there are things that can be done and it's pointless to suffer through when you could be feeling fine. I don't know if I already told you what dh swears he does to me and it makes me feel better or not so I'll tell you anyway. He said whenever I get a headache that is as unbearable as the above mentioned one that he boils a washcloth, wrings the water out, and lays it on my forehead. I really don't remember it but I'm guessing that I'm probably also really out of it during most of my headaches. Maybe you could try some kind of heating pad or warm compress to the back of your neck or your forehead or whatever you think will help. Also, I would say if your headaches are as bad and as frequent as it sounds like they are, talk to your dr. Maybe s/he will be willing to help you figure out some other way to deal with them beside tylenol... Amy 19w 2d Where I've been Hello. Hi Domonique,

I got really nasty headaches from about week 14-17, my doctor said it was

the result of increased estrogen.

Dominique, I am so glad I read your post. (I am alittle behind too but thought of you today and wondered if I missed your posts or if you had been MIA) I am finishing this set of classes and I will be done until Sept. I can't wait to have alittle break. (hope you do well with your finals) Isn't it the neatness feeling in the world to see the heartbeat and know that you have a little one inside of you?!! I am so happy for you. When do you go back to the drs? As for the headaches, oh yeah, I have been having some. I have some arthritis in my neck which always seemed to trigger headaches too before I was pg but the actual headaches seem to be alot more frequently and intense lately. I have heard you can get headaches when you are pg. I know what you mean about taking too much Tylenol, my ob said it was ok to take and I have been using ice packs on the back of my head and neck. I hope your headaches go away, they do stink!! At least you haven't been having too much m/s (lucky you) I was doing good with it than all of the sudden...bam...it sure has been hanging out with me....though I think it is starting to subside some (knock on wood) That was so nice of your dh to surprise you with a mini-vacation (they are always nice to have!!) Glad you are back!!! Take care. 11wk6d ep 12-00 Where I've been Hello. I'm awfully far behind on the posts, but I'll try my best to catch up soon. Hi Dominique. Next time you go to Vegas, let me know!!! It is a cheap

flight for us and only a 4-5 hr drive! I would love to meet you!

Congrats on your final, finals! You are in vet school, right?

I almost threw up when I first broke down to take tylenol. I just

hate too, even when I am not pg. But, my dr just laughed at me so I

guess it is very safe. I hope your headaches let up. I had some in my

early 2nd trimester. Just now I am getting more but I think it is

lack of sleep!

Take care,
