Guest guest
Thanks Skip, Commiserations re the pies, they were very gallant in defeat however you had a great year. I'm a blues supporter and this year the whole year has given me the blues. Oh well, as the saying goes there is always next year. Now we'll have to get set for another Ashes series so we can stick it up the poms. (Sorry if I have offended any of our Northern friends - this is a common Aussie saying) All the best Skip and I'll see you on the other side. Guest guest
Thanks for your support. Here are some subtitles so you can understand a bit of the aussie lingo (language). Commiserations re the pies, (bad luck that your team Collingwood who are known as the magpies - a black and white bird did not win the grand final of the Australian Rules Football competition) they were very gallant in defeat however you had a great year. (They almost won and your team won many games during the year). I'm a blues supporter and this year the whole year has given me the blues. (My team called Carlton and known as the Navy Blues only won two games for the year and finished easily on the bottom of the ladder a very dissapointing year) Oh well, as the saying goes there is always next year. ( Both our teams will have to wait until 2003 to have another go at winning the competition) Now we'll have to get set for another Ashes series (The next sporting event for us to follow is the cricket matches between Australia and England - known as the Ashes). so we can stick it up the poms. (So we can win against England again very easily as we have for the last 5 or so series) Dasher
