Hey Cy, Too much heh? I don't know the answer to this one, (in regards to why

it couldn't be delivered). I called the " tracking people " and " they're gonna

get someone " really knowledgeable " in this " right away " and " call me back

tomorrow or Monday or Tuesday " (HEHEHE) Of course my blood had to arrive in

less than 24 hours which was up at 12:00noon today, so needless to say the fact

that they are working on it now does not change the fact that I have to have it

all redrawn. The good news however is that medical science makes it so it

usually only takes one or two sticks to get all that blood. (Since of course

the needle stays in and they just switch to new vacuutainers. What if we lived

in the dark ages and they had to stick me each time......ugghh. Next week will

be better ((((smile, sigh)))) Bonnie

P.S. I really hope that it is true that the package was returned to my home and

didn't get lost, because it took me quite awhile to put that whole packet of

information together, and meet with the genetic counselors twice to help me put

the pedigree together, etc etc. Oh well, I'll see when I get home from work.

Bonnie,

I had to read your post three time with my jaw dropping further each time as

it all sunk in! I think this has less to do with lessons in humility than

it has to do with the ineptness of the delivery service. If you're

maintaining even the fantasy of keeping a sense of humor after all this,

you're a lot closer to enlightenment than I am. I'm afraid to ask why it

couldn't be delivered.Grrrrrrr.

Point of Humor, how to be humble, I'm still trying to learn

this lesson

including 3 generation of family history, renal biopsy report, physician

reports etc, etc off to Mount Sinai for the Fabry testing yesterday. Can

only do this on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. Had to reschedule 2 hours

of stuff at work to get it done, because I had to ship it carefully and make

sure it arrived by 12:00 noon today. Guess what, I received a call from

Mount Sinai today. They tracked the package (which was meticulously wrapped

and addressed) and the postal service said, " Could not deliver " so they

returned it to my home. (!) Oh well, better luck next week, when I have all

12 vials redrawn and shipped again, for another $23.00. The research

coordinator sounded so down in the dumps, I said, oh, don't be so down, you

should see how many 24 hour urines they've lost on me (actually I don't

believe it was the postal service that was at fault regarding the urine

specimens, I believe it was actually

lesson on how to be humble yet, as I keep getting this lesson over and over.

Still counting my blessings though. And trying to maintain a sense of humor

(?!). Bonnie
