Guest guest
a, You and your family are in my prayers. And if you need to talk I am here. tammy My mom died today After almost 4 years battling, my mom's body finally gave out today at 2:30pm. Yesterday afternoon she started what hopsice refers to as " a comatose state " . Today was much of the same, but different in a way. her breathing was more shallow and there were larger gaps inbetween. With the morophine however she did not struggle, it was peaceful. her breathing just slowed down and stopped. It was peaceful, uneventful and there was no pain. I was holding one hand and stroking her head telling her it was ok and it was alright to let go and my father held her other hand. Her sister and best friend were in the room as well. It was terribly painful to witness, yet it was a peaceful way for us to end this journey, just as we began it, as a family. Surprisingly I cried like a baby, I did not think that I would because I thought for sure I was plum out of tears, but.... I know that her suffering and worrying are now over and I hope there is a better place that she is now in where there is no Cancer, no limitations no worry and just peace. Although her fight ended today, mine has just started. I will continue to fight this beast of a disease that is robbing us of our loved ones. I have listed CCN in her obituary in leiu of flowers as I believe in CCN and will be working very dilligantly with them as well as other organizations to rid us all of Colon cancer once and for all. a

Guest guest
a - You were one of the first people to respond when I joined this group last April and have always been so kind and giving to everyone here even while you were fighting for your mom's life. I join the others to whom you have meant so much in offering my condolences and prayers for you and your dad. God bless you and comfort you during this time. Guest guest
a, Please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of your beloved mother. You were the best of daughters and did everything possible to help her in her struggle with this disease. I am sure because of you, your mother lived even longer than she might have otherwise. My heart goes out to your father. He must also be devastated. At least your mom's passing was peaceful and you were all there. You and your family are in my prayers tonight. I hope that you get a lot of comfort and peace from the knowledge that you were such a terrific daughter and helped her so much throughout this battle. All I can say is that she must have been a wonderful mom and your dad must be a wonderful dad to have raised such a caring daughter. I hope that, in time, your memories of better times can help to ease your pain. With my deepest sympathy, Hugs, Amie

Guest guest
a, I'm so very sorry to hear about your mom. I feel terrible for you and your dad. You are a wonderful daughter and have been a source of great comfort to both of your parents. I truly believe that we will all be reunited with our loved ones again when it's our turn to leave this earth. But it's still hard to lose someone you love and to miss them so much. You were one of the first ones to reply to me when I first joined the list. Thank you for all of your support and helpful replies when my dad was going through all of his problems after his two surgeries. I will always appreciate that you took the time to give support and helpful advice--even when you were going through so much yourself. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you. But it is merely an earth ending, your earth angel is now in a new sphere and you will feel her presence and see her in rainbows, sunsets and sunrises forever. prayers and hugs from Nick & jane
