Belgian Hippy Insurance Success

I just got the word today that my insurance will cover 60% of the

cost of my surgery by DeSmet last May. At my request, Hugo, Dr.

DeSmet's secretary, sent me (by mail) a filled out 1500 form (I

didn't know about this - he did) plus copies of the bills from the

Dr. and the hospital. I sent everything to my insurance claims

address along with a brief note that stated " These are bills from

the hip surgery I needed to have on May 13, 2003 at the

University Hospital in Ghent Belgium. " I asked them to let me

know the status of the claim as soon as possible. THAT WAS

ALL! (besides my policy number etc.) We did not really expect to

be reimbursed, but we figured why not try? Actually, getting my

life back was compensation enough - this is just a bonus. I'll

really believe it when we get the check!
