Guest guest
, thought i would tell you about a website i happened about. not sure if you have seen it yet or not. but it is a support website for fatty oxidation disorders- i know carnitine transporter defect is under this type of disorders. the website has alot of info about the various types of fatty oxidation disorders, specialists that treat them, research being done on them and is also a support group and has other info too and links. here is the main website to it: http://fodsupport.org/ They have a section called FOD's defined and that section has alot of info and links to places that diagnose and treat them. I cant remember where you are from- if my memory is working well today which i think it is for once lol- i think you are from TN or KY? They have a link to Vanderbilt University medical center (in Nashville)- the genetics clinic-dr. summar, not sure if you have checked them out- but heres the addy: http://www.vanderbiltchildrens.com/interior.php?mid=179 Hope these sites help someway or another. if you cant access them or anything, let me know. not sure if youve seen either before. but is worth looking into. and there are alot of other links and info on the first site. let me know if these help at all. hope they do. take care, adrienne
