child recovers from severe jra

Hello everyone,

Don't know if any of you " oldsters " will remember this. About 18 months ago

I had an online friend whose 5-year-old son was horribly ill with jra. I

talked with her endlessly about the AP, sent her a copy of the book, links to

the websites, etc. She even went as far as phoning Dr. Franco's office for

information. However, her local doctors scared her with their warnings of

antibiotics being dangerous for children.

I forwarded her your e-mail concerning the boy, Simon, who had fully

recovered.

Anyhow--I passed on what info I could and pretty much gave up. Yesterday I

received a letter from her (the first contact in a year). Her son is 6

now.....and he is RECOVERED!!! :-) Apparently, he got so bad, lost a

dangerous amount of weight, and was on IV steroids. The docs didn't think

he'd live much longer. She got a new doctor that thought maybe it could be

Lyme instead of JRA. He put him on 5 months of zithromax (and, I believe,

Biaxin).......and he got well. (Lyme test was negative.)

Funny that he may have gotten the right treatment by " accident. " I'm so

thrilled and wanted to pass it along.
