Guest guest Posted January 20, 2005 Report Share Posted January 20, 2005 45 male. Colon resect in July. Hospitalized for 30 days/ 10days induced coma due to infection. Then recuperated for 3 weeks, and then started a 6 week regimen of Xeloda 2000mg/Radiation. I was so excited the bad news was behind me. No sign of any recurrence. Regained some healthy weight, and went back to work after 6 months off... Now my oncologist wants me on 4 more cycles of chemo, at 2500mg per day. I have started back to work, and must work to support my 3 boys. Can someone tell me if I can work and do chemo at the same time? Those six weeks were brutal. Sore mouth, muscles and cramps.
