AmyA, Sorry the news wasn't better about going to Louisiana. Maybe things will still be able to work out somehow. I am glad to hear your mom is coming, that is good news!! Hey, I have been meaning to ask you, how has it been sleeping? Have you been able to sleep more? 31wks Louisiana news and my mom... Well, today called back and the info finally came in. It got denied bc they don't offer psychiatric facilities on post and it would cost tricare (insurance) too much for me to go off post. We can fax a letter stating that we are aware of the circumstances and it would probably be approved then but first we want to make sure that I'm not waiving my right to insurance coverage should I find he need to go back. And of course, the office here was closed today so we'll have to go tomorrow (or probably Friday while is in school) to talk to the lady who knows about it here. Our other two choices stateside are Texas and Georgia, both of which we'll still have to try to get approval first. doesn't want to go to either, though, so maybe we'll be able to do the Louisiana thing. If not, we may also look into overseas. So, we finally got the news we were waiting for, it just wasn't exactly what we wanted to hear. On the Mom front... she called yesterday and booked a flight. She will come in on the 12th and leave on the 18th. My dad asked her to wait to schedule the flight while he found out if he could come... well, it turns out he couldn't so now she's paying $100 more and is kind of bugged bc the waiting turned out to be for nothing. Anyway.. at least my mommy's coming. Amywife to ~2/14/97~mommy to ~6/18/97~ and one on the way ~EDD 11/8/01~

I'm sorry things didn't turn out the way you had hoped with LA, but it

sounds like there is still the possibility of getting to go there. I hope

that works out for you. If you do look into overseas, do you have any idea

of what your options are there?

Great news on mom!! Not great that she had to pay more, but I'm sure it is

awesome to know that she is definately coming and exactly when!!!

Amy, at one point at least Germany and Alaska (considered overseas as well as Hawaii bc they aren't "united" states) were open... but we don't know what's already been snatched up. All asked about yesterday was what stateside was still open. We're going to call later today and make sure I won't be screwing myself up by sending in the letter and going to La anyway...
