I made it, the problem is that any leftovers freeze so hard you cant do anything with them without defrosting the whole container QUITE a bit....

But does the original product turn out ok? Can you make just a 1/2 cup recipe in it and it works ok? I am thinking of buying an ice cream maker for this recipe that's why I'm asking.

I was wondering if anyone has tried to use an ice cream maker for this recipe.....does it work or what happens?

mine came out fine, I made 2 cups so that I could not have to keep going thru making it ... figured that would be a month supply.. lol.. havent chipped off enough for a second serving yet, but the first one was fine. I got the small rival icecream maker (my kids did for mothers day) at walmart for only 15.00 which seems reasonable for just this purpose. I love the icecream but was having an awful time trying to make it given that I have bilatural shoulder replacements, so this really worked out well for me...

Only after you freeze the leftovers... my ice cream maker stops when it gets nice and firm so it cant really over freeze it, it is pretty much like soft serve consistancy when done.

-----Original Message-----Do you have to chip away at it when it comes out of the ice cream maker or only after you freeze the leftovers?
