Guest guest
Hi Ladies, I was totally freaked out today. For starters I think we mentioned that Belle's temp was low at birth. She was fine when we left the hospital. The weather lately has been in the high 70's low 80's. So we have not been putting her hat on or over dressing her. Stupid, yes I know. When I went to the lac consultant today she had lost weight. We took her temp and it was only 96.4. She had us go right over to the peds office. She even called over there for us. We bundled her up and they took us right away. They were so nice. By the time we got there her temp was already 98.8. We are going to pump and bottle feed. Breast feeding is on the back burner. She has already eaten way more today than ever before. I was crying at the peds office. They also had us meet w/their lac consultant. Ours had already called her. She was so nice. When we were meeting w/her the dr even came back in to make sure I was okay. SO basically she was using all her calories to keep warm and feed. It was taking to long to feed her through the finger feeding. We go back Monday morning for a weigh in. Please keep us in your thoughts that she is doing better. I think she is going to.
