Guest guest
I seem to remember two Boomi Bars that are basically compressed nut paste.Lorraine Wullenjohn wrote: I tried the Odwalla bar and got a terrible reaction to it. I have tried a bar by Nutiva that is a flax & raisin organic flaxseed bar. It’s good, but it has 15 grams of fat and it’s all seeds held together with honey. I am not a Celiac but have an allergy to only the wheat. Guest guest
I also vote for the lara bars, lots of yummy flavors like banana cookie, apple cinn and cashew worth checking out and i can get them at my big local grocer (hannnaford) yeah and they aren't too pricey either. I also have found a Peanut butter bar by Jay Robb called the Jay Bar, i haven't bought these in a while but they are only at our HFS and are pricey. Guest guest
I just recently found Thinkorganic! bars at my local Whole Foods. On the wrapper it states they are: vegan, wheat and gluten free, no sugar added, raw ingredients, dairy free, soy free, no preservatives, pesticide free, and Non GMO. They really seem to be wroking hard to feed everyone. I have tried the chocolate coconut, and have here in front of me the cashew pecan, apricot coconut, and cherry nut. I don't know which to try first. I really liked the chocolate one I did have. Good luck finding the right bars for you. -Schuyler > > I tried the Odwalla bar and got a terrible reaction to it. Guest guest
The Nature Valley granola bars are wheat free. If you can eat oats, you should be able to eat those. They have a nice crunch and they aren't candy sweet. best wishes from Oregon Looking for snack bar I tried the Odwalla bar and got a terrible reaction to it. Guest guest
Oats themselves are ok. It is the cross contamination due to shared equipment which is a problem. I contacted a site which makes gluten free oats in Wyoming (glutenfreeoats.com). They are a family of celiacs and explain what they go through to provide gluten free products. This includes testing of their oats. They hope to start shipping their product sometime soon. Randy Looking for snack bar> > > I tried the Odwalla bar and got a terrible reaction to it. Guest guest
I was told by my doctor and I also read it on the Celiac Disease web page that you can't have gluten, wheat, oats, rye and barley, and malt etc. I did try the oats once before I knew for sure and I was sick as a dog. You couldn't get me to eat oats ever again. ann > > > > The Nature Valley granola bars are wheat free. If you can eat oats, > you should be able to eat those. Guest guest
The Nature Valley granola bars are wheat free (that's what the original request was for) but they contain malt, so are probably not going to be suitable for everyone who needs gluten-free. Sorry. Best wishes from Oregon [[[[.........The Nature Valley granola bars are wheat free. Guest guest
Thank you for all of your replys. My problem is the wheat. I have a lot of ideas now and am looking forward to trying some of the bars suggested. I appreciate your help so much. butterfly wrote: The Nature Valley granola bars are wheat free (that's what the original request was for) but they contain malt, so are probably not going to be suitable for everyone who needs gluten-free.
