Conley arrived at 1:50 am on January 25,2003 by emergency

c-section. He weighed 7 lbs 11 oz and was 20 1/4 inches long.

On Wednesday at my OB appointment, I was 3-4 cm dilated and the he was

head down. By Thursday morning (which I didn't realize) he had

flipped and his head was up under my right breast.

Friday night at 11 pm I was awakened by a popping noise and gush of

fluid. We arrived at the hospital and were admitted by 12:30 am.

When they checked me, the nurse said she felt toes and I had to have a

c-section. At first I was totally devestated but I think it was more

for the fact that my 8 year old daughter had wanted to be in the

delivery room with us. Anyway, we have decided that it was him

putting his foot into the birth canal that broke my water.

We are home and doing great other than the pain from the c-section. I

am now back on some pain meds so hoping it will get better.
