Pain Survey!

Hi all,

A discussion recently came up on our HSPList group about pain, which led to

the idea of having a Pain Survey. & amp;nbsp; According to much of the

information

available about our disorders, pain is not mentioned as much of a

problem. & amp;nbsp;

For many of us, that just ain't so! & amp;nbsp;

And that led to some suggestions for Pain Survey questions. & amp;nbsp; Quickly,

it

was obvious that this would not be a quick and easy Survey to develop and

needed an expert's involvement. & amp;nbsp;

So, I asked Rob Redden, who is a Primary Care Physician who has HSP and has

struggled with pain, if he'd develop the Pain Survey questions. & amp;nbsp; You

GEO,

Count your blessings. I've had PLS since about 1985 or so and never had any

pain either. It was great to answer " no " to that question. Then---------it

came. I've not been pain free for at least the past 8 years.

if thats ok , im apprx. 4+ yrs. into this .How many are you? i still have

good hand and arm strength and left leg i use it to help the right speech is a

problem its slow and slurred i have'nt changed much in this time .I take Mega

doses of supplements ???? dont know if this helps ????but can't hurt .Yes Mam i

count my blessings all the time at first i was told by a doc. i had ALS and

would be dead in 3 yrs. Scared the you know what out of us .We didnt know

whether to throw up or cry or what later to find out he was wrong needless to

say i talked to his superiors about condemming a patient to death before the

tests were done .They Did Nothing I will never step foot in Iowa Clinic Again

DR. SHIVAPOUR should not be able to practice medicine in this manner after

30docs. and 9 Neurologist im suprised i dont have an ulser on top of PLS GEO
