Kendall,

Hi, I've never tried the Cheese Nuggets, but next time I'm by

there.....heee heee, give me a large order!! :) I hope Matt and you are

doing better today. I was up at 5:00 this morning, Mikaela woke up

coughing a little at 5:00, the good thing is since Bob goes to bed at

8:30-9:00 he is already up for the day by 5:00--not ME! We went out with

friends to a sports bar to watch the Huskers play, the kicked butt, but

most of the time I wasn't paying attention and was talking to my friend

. Then we were home by 10:00, and I could tell the babysitter was

having trouble with Mikaela, she ended up sleeping until 1:00 then was

up every hour after that. I am never drinking more than 2 beers again

until she is at least 6 years old!!! I was soooo tired. But am much

better after 6 hrs of un-interupted sleep, that was like heaven!! I

hope your church meeting doesn't go too long. I'm off to give blood at

lunch, I hope it doesn't take to long, even for a good cause my boss was

less than thrilled. I'll probably have to work late or Saturday to make

up for it!! I'm glad to hear your pampered chef party went well. I went

to one once and the hostess handed out wine-coolers as we were doing our

ordering....ummmm I think we all ordered more than we planned too. Ha

Ha!!! Just a evil plan to get you more business! :)

Vicki,

Matt is isn't sick anymore, just growing I think ;). Mommy on the other hand is

miserable! My

sinuses are draining so bad that I have a sore throat and I am nauseaus from all

of the gunk

draining into my tummy :(. I don't think it's an infection though, 'cause my

face doesn't hurt

and I haven't been having headaches.

How is your sister doing? My SIL just had my nephew last night at 8:30. Lucas

Allan weighed

9lbs. 4 oz. (OUCH!) and was 21 inches long. I am really excited to go see him

after work.

  • 3 weeks later...

Kim,

I can't believe how fast they grow. I got to hold my 3 week old nephew Lucas

today and I can't even remember Mattson being that small (and Lucas was

almost 2 pounds bigger than Matt when he was born!). It made me a little sad

and sure made me want another one. Boy, if I was an OB nurse I think i'd

have a dozen kids ;).

Hope Christian had fun at his halloween party. I will try to post some

pictures of the boys when I get them develped but I can't promise anything

;). Matt was just an adorable duck!

Pam,

Pampered Chef is going fine. I am not going to be able to do as much as I

thought when I first started, but I want to keep up with it in the hopes that

someday I can go back to my " real " job part time and use the Pampered Chef to

supplement my income. Besides, I like the stuff and it as least helps me get

the products at a discount, if not free.

Kids can change a lot in terms of who they look like. When Ross was really

little he looked just like Mattson does now (which means just like me ;)!),

but the older Ross gets the more he looks like his dad and the less like me.

Now he looks more like his dad than me, but you can tell he's mine ;).

Hope going cold turkey on the pumping works. I know how exhausting a new

born is and you are recovering from surgery on top of it. Hang in there. It

will all work out in the end.

Vicki,

Unfortunately I get very little down time. I do get an hour a week on

Saturdays to go to water aerobics, but really that is about it :(!

How has it gone w/ getting Mikaela to sleep? I am pretty spoiled. Both of

my boys have slept through the night by about 3 months. I have to wake

Mattson up to nurse him before I leave for work (although I don't know how

much longer that will be as he is losing interest in nursing now that he is

on food).

He is refusing baby food out of a jar, the little stinker. He wants to eat

" people " food off of mommy's plate, so I have been mashing up cooked

veggies. I am going to try baby food fruit this week and see if he will eat

that. He loves his rice cereal mixed w/ juice.

Take Care.

Kendall,

Mikaela is the same way about food, she is always reaching for something

on someone's plate. I think she'll be on people food by 9 months, but

she doesn't have teeth yet, does Matt? She is loving animal crackers

from Walmart (they have a HUGE bag for $1.50) and saltines. She gets

pretty messy but loves gnawing on them. I can understand Matt loosing

interest in nursing, he probably wants a steak to eat (ha ha) I think

they loose their patience and want quantity and texture after

awhile....and they want to " do it themselves " they finally figured out

how to use their hands, although Mikaela is not quite talented enough to

get the cheerios in her mouth, most get swept off the high chair onto

the floor!

Vicki,

Matt doesn't have any teeth yet and although he wants food w/ texture he still

has

a tendency to gag on it, so I haven't even tried crackers or cheerios yet. He

is

eating the baby food fruit (although not all that willingly - he would still

rather eat off mom's plate). Matt just wants flavor and thinks he should be

able

to eat whatever anyone else is eating. He even grabbed Jerry's spoon the other

night while we were at a Chili cook-off! He grabs the spoon when I feed him and

" helps " LOL!

Matt is now down to nursing at night only :(. Oh well, I guess I am just not

ready for my baby to start growing up. I know it wasn't as hard for me w/ Ross.

Take Care

Dana,

I have to get going for work, so this will have to be my last post of

the morning, but I have preferred Huggies over Pampers (they seem to fit

my boys better and I have less leaks), but now that Matt is in a larger

size in an effort to save some extra money I tried the store brand at Toys

R Us and like them just as much as the huggies and they are considerably

cheaper. My suggestion is to just try the different brands and see

what works best for Chase. I know my SIL will only use pampers.
