Carmen,

The bleeding does sound anovulatory if it is in the middle of your

cycle. That is the only things I can think of.

On a happier note, I'm glad you got things straightened out with your

dr. Didn't I say that sometimes the nurses leave a bit to be

desired? ;o It is amazing how little the dr knows about what they

do/tell patients!

Hi Carmen,

It sounds like overall you did have a pretty good dr appt. Yes stress can do

alot to a body-->been there done that. Maybe the stress was with your

classes and your mil. I hope that you feel a little better also knowing that

the cyst was just a corpus luteum cyst and nothing to worry about. Please

take care and just try to CHILL :).

Love,

Sheila

Carmen, I am glad to hear that your doctor is working with you, and is

understanding. I wish I could tell you why you are spotting. Are you stressed?

How are things between your mother in law and you? I hope you figure out why

you are spotting soon. Hang in there.---Keri

> Ok, everyone. I went to the dr yesterday just to have a urinalysis done b/c I

thought I had a bladder infection. I didn't have an actual appt with the dr, I

just had to drop by the lab. Well, the urinalysis showed nothing. I am still

spotting today and it's getting heavier. I started spotting on Friday. They went

and got the dr and he saw me even though I didn't have an appt. He said he

didn't know what it was. Either I was having an anovulatory cycle or stress or

something. He said come back if my period doesn't start when it's supposed to. I

wish I could make the spotting go away in the mean time. He felt confident that

it wasn't another ep b/c my last period was June 22-27 and it was normal.

> So does anybody have any idea what this is all about??? What kind of spotting

could this be???

>

> Oh yeah, he also told me how to get my hsg scheduled. I have to schedule after

I start my period b/c he wants it on day 9 or 10. And the ovarian cyst I saw

documented in my medical records from the ep hospital stay was a corpus luteum

cyst - nothing to worry about.

> Overall, it was a pretty good visit (I only cried once - a record for me) and

I felt much better about my dr. He introduced me to one of his nurses and told

me ONLY deal with her. He told her that anytime I call to talk to him before

telling me ANYTHING. He was very upset that they had told me I needed and IVP

test (for kidneys) and Clomid over the phone.

> OK, sorry so long, I just wanted to update you guys.

Carmen, I am glad the dr was understanding, sometimes they have no idea what

their office staff does, you know? It does sound like you made some progress.

I don't know what the spotting could be, I am sorry, I wish I could help. When

are you suppose to get af? I am glad dr will do hsg for you, maybe that will

help alittle, it did make me feel alittle more hopeful when I heard that my tube

was clear. Please keep me updated on things. Take care and try to relax (I know

that is so much easier said than done but you have alot on your plate with

school and all.....take care)

AmyR,

Sorry it's taken me so long to respond to your e-mail. It's the same old

school story. How long does mid-cycle anovulatory bleeding usually last? Mine

lasted from exactly 14 days into my cycle until af came. I'm so confused!!!

Keri,

I never did figure out what the spotting was, but it lasted until af started.

I really don't even know exactly which day I started, it just got so heavy

all of a sudden. I was never one to have such a heavy af. Do you think this

is from the ep??? I'm supposed to have an hsg on day 9 or 10 of my cycle.

I just now read your e-mail about having the lap surgery done. I know it's

scary, but hopefully it will be a good thing. Maybe they can get your tubes

good and cleaned out. Even though there is a little scar tissue left over

from the cut, the dr wouldn't do it if it weren't going to leave it in a

better condition.

(Hugs),

Carmen

I'm not sure that there is a time limit for anovulatory bleeding. If it was

indeed an anovulatory cycle, then that is what makes it so hard to say what

you should expect...being anovulatory means your body didn't follow the

typical path that cycle so therefore it is hard to make any predicitions.

Try not to worry too much about an anovulatory cycle though right now. It

is not unusual for women to have them from time to time...it doesn't mean

that you aren't going to ovulate ever again. But, if you see it happen over

and over again in the next couple months, then it is probably a good idea to

consult a dr and see if there is a more serious reason for it other then you

are just under alot of stress (which is a big cause for anov. cycles).
