Hi Amy, Robin is right, I am the same way. Water makes a huge difference. Also the veggies, especially raw ones. Great fiber!!!!

Amy - I found that if I cut out my veggies I stop losing. (they also help with regularity), and if I eat too much dairy - I too, stop losing. One other thing that I'll tell you, if I don't do the 64 oz of water plus 8 more for each 25 pounds I need to lose ~ I lose nothing

Amy,

I don't know your story from last summer, but I sure as heck wouldn't let

them run you out of your own house. Their negativity is THEIR problem, not

yours. You are working hard to make changes in your lifestyle and that's ALL

that matters. YOU are important and I would let your sister know, her so

called friends will not be getting under your skin ever again.

I'm just guessing they give you a hard time about your weight? We've all

been there.

Don't let it stop you from meeting your goals.

Yeah i think i posted just a real brief of what happened last year.

and it was pretty uncomfortable being around them...just this random

tension, but as you said it's MY house. they're gone now so life is

better today. :)

Thanks Amy

I have a doctor's appointment in Dec. A follow-up to my first appointment in

October. Hopefully he will have some answers for me. He said he would be look

into the meds that were given to me in the hospital after my operation. Hoping

for good news!

Yes, my mother is great and I wish I can do so much more for her. At this time

I am unable, but hopefully this will change soon.

Marcia,

I'm sorry you are having such problems post transplant. I do hope the

doctors can put a finger on the cause and find an easy cure for it. I'd

also like to say that you have a beautiful woman in your mother, it's not

often a mother gets to give a child the gift of life twice. She is

incredible (as all live donors are). I hope your girlfriend is able to find

a donor soon. It's wonderful to hear that your mothers choice could

influence people enough to be tested as a donor for your girlfriend. Funny

what a sudden act of kindness can do to those around you, isn't it?

It's great to have you in the group and I hope you find support thru us

as you share your experiences and support with others.

haven't been doing as well as you health wise. I'm not sure if it is due to

my meds or damage done with the meds taken in hospital after transplant.

I'm seeing specialists now, but having to wait weeks and months between

appointments. I believed all this time that it was my eyes causing the

problem, but the specialist believes that it may be my ears.

perception and equilibrium is off. I have to be very careful. I bump into

things that I could have sworn I was avoiding. I feel so clumsy. It does

effect a lot of things I'm able to do I'm still thankful. As soon as they

can figure out the source and hopefully have a cure I will be back to normal

as I can ever be. They think it might be permanent damage, and that it will

take a long time to heal, but I'm hoping they are wrong.

I was trying to look up why dr put you on magnesium oxide. I do know

that when I worked in critical care we would give pt's magnesium that

were having frequent premature ventricular contractions -one type of

skipped beats.we were usually also replacing potassium at the same

time because that will definately cause PVC's if it is low.(not

usually a problem with kidney pts. Maybe he is trying to make sure

this isn't causing your skipped beats. let us know how your holter

monitor and other tests go. good luck. oh, and ask your dr why the

mag oxide when you see him next.
