Leslee,

It is great that you are willing to continue nursing. I am sure your son

will be happy about it.

THANK YOU

I want to say thank you so much to all of you who answered my

questions about night nursing and weaning. I knew I came to the

right place!

We've decided to let him nurse his little heart out, when I'm with

him, until he's ready to wean himself. We'll wait until he's 12

months and gradually wean him from taking the bottle at the sitters.

So many things you said made sense.

I may join weight watchers, pick up the exercise and I'm going to go

to the next LLL meeting to get more support nursing a toddler. Thanks

again!

Joan,

I have a program that goes with my scanner.. you click on format, then

dimensions.. the picture is 100%, so I just chose 65%, or so, to make it

smaller..

Hope that makes sense..

, I'm so sorry to hear of all the troubles you've been having. It's bad

enough to have to deal with the doctors, but Blaine on top of it must be

horrendous.

I was so worried about you because it had been so long since we have heard

from you. Please keep posting and vent all you want. I won't hurt. And

remember today is National Scream Day. Go out and yell!!!!!

Hang in there and know that many prayer are coming your way.

That's great that your daughter is trying to eat healthy at a young

age. That will set her up with good habits for the rest of her

life. Good job, mom!

So while I am anxious to start this diet, I am also scared to death.

It is rather restrictive, and with feeding a family of five, I wonder

where I will get the time to cook separate meals for myself - from

scratch!!

,

It's really not that bad. My daughter has been SCD for three weeks.

Although the rest of us are not on it, I have eliminated alot of

illegals from the house so as not to make it hard for her. I have

been cooking alot of meat and vegetables at dinner. Then, sometimes

I'll cook up some rice, a potato, or some pasta for my little one and

husband. We are all eating the meat and veggies, it's just that I'll

give a little starch to the ones that want it. My daughter (UC?) has

seen many improvements in symptoms since the diet was started. I've

been pretty much following the diet and I'm now the lowest weight

that I've been since Jr High! (I had weight to lose, so don't get

nervous. My daughter who is on the diet has actually put on a little

weight).

Good luck, don't be scared.

(8 yo daughter - UC, scd 3 weeks)

Dear ,

I have been reading and copying e-mails for 2 weeks...this is the first

time I have posted. I am a mother of 7 and 1 (that's my husband). Our

last 2 children were twins (#6 & #7), both developing normally until age 23

months, that is when one of the twins, Matthias, fell into the " deep dark

hole " called Autism. We had been GF/CF for 8 months and an aquaintance that

I met at an ASA conference strongly urged the SCD...it has been my son's

life saver! Before (on GF/CF), Matthias had a meal and the rest of us had a

meal (BAD IDEA!!). Now the entire family eats whatever Matthias eats...this

is what I have to say about it...It's just what families do! Everyone makes

the sacrifice...it has brought all of us closer together as a family! I

strongly encourage you to throw EVERYTHING illegal out and tell all the

other family members that if they ever get in a bind everyone will rally

together and help them!

Good Luck and God Bless! (Mom of 7 all SCD for 2 weeks now and

really not that big of a deal!)

A huge thank you to who ever it was that posted Kinickinick (?sp)

doughnuts are good. I ordered them and they are faboulous!!! One of the

few replacements that tastes like the " real " thing. the vanilla ones

are great- anyone missing doughnuts should try them! The tapioca bagles

are pretty good too, the texture is a little strange to me but they

taste good and I bet would be really good toasted. (I have not tried

that yet.)

Have a great day everybody!!
