Hello all! I'm very glad I found this group so can talk to someone...

I'm a 25-yr-old guy from Scandinavia. I been suffering from alot of

mental and physical symptoms for a long period of time. Finally found

antioxidants, vitamins etc in bigger doses that helped (still takes

alot of time to recover) and managed to do an adrenals saliva stress

test. Well, straight to my results.....that were:

7-9AM: 0.30 (0.27-2.06)

11AM-1PM: 0.27 (0.03-0.77)

3PM-5PM: 0.12 (0.03-0.56)

10PM-12AM: <0.03 (0.03-0.50)

DHEA: 383 (14-277)

DHEA/Cortisol Ratio: 1,277 (35-435)

So I got hydrocortisone from my doc who is specialized in antioxidants

etc. The thing right now is that he prescribed my hydrocortisone to be

taken in the morning as one shot (??) ... I been upping it within a

month and now I'm in 7.5mg/day. But is this right? Why one shot?

I know the morning value is not good but wouldn't it be reasonable to

take it in 2-4 parts? I've had much symptoms from starting

hydrocortisone but I've referred them as good symptoms... but right

now I wonder... cos I read high morning doses can result in cutting

off body's own cortisol production? Does this make too high jumps if I

take it in one shot in the morning?? I'm adjusting to the levels and

it takes time and it feels weird at times and fogginess etc but had

those before as well so hard to say which comes from what. Would it be

wise to take it 2-4 times a day? I try to call my doc on Monday...

Just don't want to play with things cos my adrenals really aren't

doing good!

Also waiting for test results for a " Metabolic Screening Test " .

I appreciate any input!!

Kind regards,
