Guest guest
t sounds stronger today at 48 hours post op. She is able to get up and out of bed alone now. She's been walking in the halls and Dr B told her that tomorrow she is to dress and take a walk in the warm sunny outdoors. Her IVs are out and she is sipping tea now, but no food so far. She says that the nurses don't understand English, but they come in, are pleasant, do what they have to do, and leave without any chit chat. She is getting injections for pain, although the nurse response time this morning with her shot was a little slow-- which she plans to talk with Dr B about this evening. Her incision is dry and healing without any drainage, and she has very little fluid coming out of her drainage tubes. The dressing is off her abdomen and she expects the stitches will be taken out tomorrow and steri strips placed. I spoke with Dr B who confirms that she is healing well, has no fever, and is making good progress. Her intestines are quiet so far-- no gas yet. She says she rinsed out some of her undies and hung them on the balcony to dry. She took as few clothes as possible since she has to manage her suitcase herself when traveling. She is very happy to have her switch over with. And she misses her husband and children very much.
