Guest guest
Hi Rita, You were such a busy bee. Wow peeling wall paper isn't easy, you're a real good mom! Though, I bet it felt good to help her, right? I would do the same. Well, have a goodnight's sleep. Take care. God Bless Yolanda Accomplishment Hi Gang: After a great win by the New England Patriots (sorry Tennessee) spent 5 hours today at my daughter new (OLD) house, sitting on my walker, peeling wallpaper off the walls in the living room, hallway and master bedroom. Guest guest
Yolanda: Whats rewarding about being able to help. is that when we first went there this AM, everybody was so busy, and there I was watching for 2 1/2 hours. I tried to take a broom and sweep cob webs, but my balance said " no " . So I stopped, and just supervised. At noon time my stepson (hate that word) came in to see the house for the first time. He is a professional paper hanger by trade, and is very good at his trade. our daughter, told him she was just going to paint the ceilings and walls and move in the 14th of February. He told her because of the texture of the walls, it could not be painted. He suggested that we strip the existing wall paper, by spraying some sort of solution on the paper. Once I saw how easy it was to peel it off, I got very excited to find that there was something I could do to help. So I did and felt so gratified for being able to help, rather then sit around unable to help. I plan on returning to help prime the walls during the day while my daughter and son-i-law work. My daughter used that phrase again " mom your amazing " . I am slow, but I ain't dead yet! Have a great week. Guest guest
Rita Your right were not dead yet just slower . We use a paper tiger and very hot water seems to do good on paper . You could do the cob webs if you had a shop vac and a long wand for it to reach the ceiling you could sit down .someone needs to invent a walker like they have for babies you know the round thing with a seat and wheels to teach them to walk with a seat and adjustment to raise and lower height.
